This is the mock-up I made for a project that never happened. It was meant for a rotunda ceiling in a new beach house and would’ve looked amazing. I think they were over budget and the first things to get cut are the fancy flourishes. Oh well. I still love my little octopus. I think I succeeded in making him look almost sweet without becoming cloying and strong but not menacing.
He now happily resides in a private collection.
